Doris’ Addictive Pretzels Doris’
Addictive
Hi Everyone. I hope you all have stayed as cool as Pretzels
possible this summer season. Bunny has been trying to
not turn on the oven very much. She has been trying
to give you tasty recipes that are not hard and not
much stovetop or oven time. September is still hot
around these parts, so I’m going to give you a simple
snack recipe this month. It is addictive for sure. My Ingredients
neighbor came over at Christmas last year and handed
me a bag of pretzels. I thought, well okay. But I start- • 1 One-pound bag of pretzels (use Rold Gold
ed in on those things, and I couldn’t put them brand, sticks or mini pretzels)
down. To this day, my Mr. Bunny and I keep these • ¾ cup olive oil (I use the light version)
around 24/7. We get the jitters if we run out.
• 1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing and
So, hear ya go. seasoning mix
• 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder,
and crushed red peppers
Directions
Pour the pretzels in the largest plastic bag you can
find. (I use a small roasting bag, but if you don’t have
that, then divide the pretzels into two one-gallon size
storage bags.)
Stir/whisk all the rest of ingredients together. Let sit
for 10 minutes and stir again. Pour the mixed ingredi-
ents over the pretzels. Seal. Then toss the bag(s).
Continue to toss now and again for six hours. You
want to be sure that the pretzels soak in the ingredi-
ents.
Divide into quart storage bags.
Well there you have it folks. Maybe Bunny will start
really cookin’ again with fall coming up. We’ll see.
Happy cooking and happy trails.
-Bunny
