                    The Mission of the Bandera County Sister
                  Partnership (BCSPA) is to advance peace
                  through lasting relationships and international
                  understanding, friendships, and diplomatic
                  relations.
                    We take the United States of America,
                  Texas, and Bandera County with us when we
                  go abroad.  Our goal is to spread peace and
                  goodwill through sister partnerships with

                    Father Leopold Moczygemba

                                  Foundation

           In the early 1850s, Father Leopold
        Moczygemba, from Pluznica, Silesia, a region
        in Europe, now southwest Poland, came to
        south Texas. To help his suffering friends and
        families in Poland the new priest encouraged
        them to move to Texas, settling in Panna Maria
        and many other Texas communities. Their de-
