Still outlines her plans. “My future isn’t in stone
but my ultimate goal would to be a crew chief in
NASCAR. I want to have a career that is revolved
around racing and good people. Then maybe get
married and raise a little racer of my own.”
Gene Roberts from AROB has nothing but praise
for Still. “Jessica is a wonderful young lady and
a exceptional up and coming talent. I have been
doing this professionally for a long time and she
to watch because of the ac-
complishments that she has already achieved. We
at AROB are proud to know her professionally and
personally and wish her nothing but the best!”
In the meantime, she races with a great deal
of and on the track. But there has
also been some from other drivers about
the preconceived notions of women racers. “I
don’t let negative opinions get to me, I focus on the
task at hand which is to win the race. I also focus on
the many little girls who look up to me and what I
stand for, which is God is and I am second. So
I usually kill them with kindness and give my all out
     on the track,” Still said.
But it’s not just the Still family that knows this
go-getter is a positive force to be reckoned with.
Rinse Bath and Body in downtown Monroe is Still’s
     race car sponsor.
“Jessica is such a great representative. We love
that she is so dedicated to her racing, her academics
and her faith, but she stays true to herself,” said
Damyn Swanepoel of Rinse. “She sets goals for
herself and is a high achiever, but she stays ground-
ed and is always humble and respectful. She is a
     great example for her peers.”
But in the end, Still is quick to praise.
“My life’s philosophy is revolved around my family
and God. God has always been involved in my life
and protecting me. From the moment I was born to
now he’s performed many little and big miracles. I
believe I have a purpose and everything he makes
me go through is preparing me for something great,
and this goes for anyone. Bad and good events hap-
pen to prepare us for a purpose in our lifetime.”
And that is the philosophy and faith of a proper
     hero. •WLM
