Cassini received the Humane Society Man of

                                                                                  created collections of manmade fashion fur, the
                                                                                  ‘evolutionary furs’. In 1999, he was awarded the
                                                                                 Humanitarian Award at the Fashion Show and Gala
                                                                                 in Washington DC. He said, “What we’re designing
                                                                                  is as elegant and attractive as fur and eliminates
                                                                                       the enormous cruelty that goes
                                                                                      on in the killing of animals for fur.”

                                                                   A:  There are more than 100 types of cancer in the world.  Even though this is an
                                                                   alarming number, by taking time to focus on cancer prevention, you can lower
                                                                   your risk of getting cancer and many cancer-related deaths can be prevented.
                                                                   Research has shown that more than 40 percent of all cancers diagnosed in the
                                                                   United States can be attributed to preventable causes – things like smoking,
                                                                   obesity, physical inactivity, and excessive exposure to the sun. As a result, steps
                                                                   like quitting smoking (or never starting in the first place), maintaining a healthy
                                                                   weight, exercising regularly, protecting your skin from the sun, and getting
                                                                   vaccinated against the viruses that cause certain cancers can dramatically reduce
                                                                   your risk of certain cancers.

                                                                   Another important preventative step is making sure you get regular medical care.
                                                                   Self-exams and screening for various types of cancers- such as cancer of the skin,
                                                                   colon, cervix, and breast-can increase your chances of discovering cancer early, when
                                                                   treatment is more likely to be successful. Prevention is the first step in fighting the battle
