of the day for our third fish and Wyatt stuck one that was a
little over 3 lbs. Got to give a big shout out to Wyatt’s dad for
keeping our fish as lively as possible!
We got back to the weigh-in location and ended up taking
First Place Stringer and First Place Big Trout. After we left the
weigh-in, we decided to go bust an evening wade. It was the
same deal as the night before. We got out there 30 minutes
before sunlight, but the bite didn’t turn on until it got dark.
Wyatt stuck a 5lb. trout right off the bat. We caught a couple
of redfish and missed a few bites, but it shut down quickly. A
great adventure overall.

Angler’s Association Tournament out of
Matagorda Harbor with 14.9 lb.’s for three trout. I
L pre-fished the tournament the day before with my
buddies Hunter Osina and Connor Craft. We grinded all day
and only had a handful of solid fish. Later that evening when
all the boats were off the water, we decided to give it one more
wade. We pulled up to the shoreline and there was bait every-
where, which was odd , because the past few weeks the bait had
been scarce. We hopped out of the boat and starting catching
fish right off the bat. We only had about 30 minutes of sunlight
to fish but after the sun went down the bite went off.
I caught two fish that were 25” plus in a five-minute window.
Conner and I hooked up again but we didn’t have any head-
lights, so it was difficult to handle his fish when we got them
close. I landed my fish and Connor started yelling that he need-
ed a net. I kept my fish on my boga and rushed over to him. We
netted his fish and it measured at 8.5 lb.’s right under 30”s. My
fish measured 27” - 6lbs. We quickly took pictures and the fish.
We continued for 15 minutes after that, but the bite was off.
The next morning, I met Wyatt and his dad, Marc at the ramp.
We came up with a game plan and hit the water. We pulled up
to the spot and the tide was extremely high, but we knew there Find Max Online @
were fish there. I didn’t get my first bite until an hour into the
wade, but it wasn’t anything worth keeping. Another hour went www.facebook.com/max.conner.395
by and I stuck a 27” that went 6.3 lbs. We netted that fish and
the next cast I stuck a 24” that went 5 lbs. We grinded the rest Instagram: maxconnerfishing
