Cornbread

INGREDIENTS
• 1½ cups cornmeal
• ¾ cup flour
• 1 tbsp. baking powder
• ½ tsp. salt
• 1 egg
• 1 cup milk
• 6 oz. cheddar cheese, cubed or shredded

DIRECTIONS
 Preheat oven to 425.
 Blend cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt.
 Add egg and milk.
 Pour half of batter into greased bread pan
(or preheated, oiled cast iron skillet).
 Sprinkle cheese on top to create an even
layer then cover with remaining batter.
 Bake 15-20 minutes until golden.
 Serve with butter and honey.
