          Larue county schools





              The LaRue County Public School District consists
            of four schools: two elementary schools for grades
            Kindergarten through 5th grade, a middle school for
            6th through 8th graders and a high school for 9th
            through 12th graders. The district also operates a
            preschool and childcare center and provides teachers
            at The Life Connection, a local alternate education
            program located in Sonora.
              With a total enrollment of approximately 2,400
            students, LaRue County Schools are committed to
            ensuring  educational equality, a safe environment
            for students, parental involvement, greater student
            resources and improved teacher quality. In 2016,
            LaRue County Schools ranked 8th out of 173
            Kentucky school districts for highest achievement,
            earning the title of District of Distinction.
              In recent years, the district has successfully imple-
            mented a laptop learning initiative ensuring that all
