A surge of vibrant, young professionals who are not only living and working in Co-
lumbus County, but are also ready and willing to take leadership roles and are making
a difference in communities that align with their core values. Each year The News
Reporter asks citizens to nominate candidates outstanding in their civic and/or profess-
sional roles. Fifteen are celebrated in the annual “fifteen under 40” magazine and at a
recognition event that has become a summer social highlight.
