                    appy New Year everyone!  Hope you have made             Jackie’s Cabbage Patch Stew
                    your resolution, so you can break it in a few
                    weeks.  (a little Bunny humor there folks). Well,                 Ingredients
        Hlet’s get down to business. I hope you still have
        those stock pots out, because Bunny is going to give you two   1 ½ pounds  ground beef
        soup recipes.  One is Split Pea and Dumpling soup. The other   1 large onion, chopped
        is called Cabbage Patch Stew.  Both of these recipes call for   1 bell pepper, chopped
        about the same ingredients, so it makes it EASY when going   3 ribs of celery, chopped

                                                                   Well this will hold you over on these cold January nights.
        Rinse peas.  Then put peas and ham hock in your stock pot
        with lots of water, and bring to boil. Add your veggies. Cook   Hope you enjoy these EASY recipes.  Till  next month....
        on low to medium heat with lid on for about 1 ½ hours, stir-
        ring frequently.  (Remember beans/peas stick to the bottom)

        When done, remove your ham hock. Make your dumpling        Happy Trails,

                            for 10 minutes. Then cover and cook
