A friends on the rooftop of the apart-
ment building where they lived was sud-
denly electrocuted by overhanging power
lines. Rushed to hospitals and finally find-
ing the way to Shrine Hospitals for Chil-
dren in Galveston, it was determined that
the only way to save his life was with the
amputation of one leg, one arm and a par-
tial amputation of the other arm, As Edu-
ardo’s rehabilitation continued, he lived at
the Ronald McDonald House that he called
“the giant mansion and castle.” Over ten
years of returning to the House and
Shriners, he endured over seventy surgeries
